Home Story; A Seller’s Perspective
“We were first struck, before we even entered the subdivision, by the wonderful curb appeal of this property — one of a kind and yet perfectly classic. The design choices for the brick and windows, set against the gracious park-like landscape, are somehow elegant and natural, in a way you don’t typically find in a suburban setting.
First, it’s very peaceful and private. Year-round, the open plan and use of windows really bring all the serenity of those towering trees into every room in the house. And the design elements and flow all transition so well, from any kind of entertaining to cozy low-key family or alone time. It’s funny, really, that we’ve lived here longer than in our previous homes combined, and what we loved here at first, still feels timeless.
We feel like this is much more of a neighborhood than it is a “sub” and the location enjoys close and easy access to great schools, as well as to the many facilities and activities that Hawthorn Woods and neighboring communities like Lake Zurich, Long Grove and Wauconda have to offer.
This is a very gently lived in home. We were empty-nesters when we moved in, and with traveling routinely and getting away most weekends and holidays, the home maintains much of its “new home” feel with little of the wear and tear you might expect.”
