Starting in the summer of 1942, partly in celebration of the victories of World War II, volunteer and service organizations came together to establish what we know today as Alpine Fest™. The Lions Club with it’s newly established park in downtown Lake Zurich afforded a prime location for this event.

Over the years, as more and more people became active in the Lions Club, the carnival grew. Today the event is bigger and better than ever. It opens Friday night with The Fire Fighters Water Fights. Drawing more than 10,000 people per day to the park for three days of carnival rides, games, food, family events and entertainment. The final day of the festival includes the Alpine Fest™ Parade down Main Street is the largest parade in Lake County. It is also the biggest single event of the year in Lake Zurich.

The festival includes food, bands and carnival entertainment.  Funnel cakes, cotton candy, snow cones, pizza, pretzels, beer & wine are some of the delicious food patrons can enjoy.  You can see the entertainment tent’s line up here.  Get your coupon for Saturday and Sunday’s all you can ride here.

“I love a good festival!  This is a fun, family-friendly event for everyone.  I hope to see you there.”
